About Amanda Koh
Amanda was born and raised in the Midwest, and had a strong attraction to both horses and cars while growing up. At the age of 12, she began envisioning a beautiful grey stallion she named Spirit, who helped her discover her talent for art, as she sought to capture his image for others to see. After high school, she attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, to pursue a career in automotive design. Discovering her affinity for finessing form, she began working as a digital sculptor, continuing to develop this skill in the automotive, aviation and trucking industry for more than 20 years. During this time, her expressions of the ethereal equine, Spirit, evolved into a more abstract expression of dynamic energy in space. Her art is still an expression of the original muse she saw, an illuminated equine spirit, soaring in the darkness of space. Her art is an abstract expression of this energetic expression inherent in all beings, all inspired by the majestic beauty of this one horse in flight.
